I am a fully registered Psychologist and have more than 30 years experience in a variety of settings. I graduated as a Psychologist in 1980 and have been working in private practice since 1993. My role is to help you to function well in your everyday life. I usually find that clients have a lot more resources within themselves than they initially think, & I aim to help them identify their strengths and learn to build on these, developing the confidence to continue problem solving without my help! I also believe that it is important for people to solve their problems within their own framework of beliefs & I have a strong respect for all spiritual belief systems.

As a parent and grandparent I am particularly interested in the problems associated with parenting.  I love helping clients to build their parenting skills, strengthen their relationships and manage the stresses of life with children of all ages.  I endeavour to make my sessions friendly and comfortable, and of course they are confidential.

I am available to give talks to interested groups on topics related to my counselling areas.  I am also available to work with employers and staff to improve workplace relationships.

Why see a Psychologist?

In order to function well in your everyday life, it is important that stress, family and relationship issues and illness are managed effectively.
